10th Anniversary Production

Summer 1999

THE HARVARD COMMUNITY THEATRE

presents

ITS FIRST PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION !

Produced in collaboration with Charles Karchmer

and the Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City

Set in Louisville, Kentucky, Re-"belle"-ious tells the story of Anna Sanders Barnes, an unconventional Southern Belle who, upon the death of her mother, is faced with the unenviable task of sorting through the family "treasures" in Mama's attic. As Anna unearths each keepsake, old memories flood back, transporting her on a sometimes hilarious, sometimes poignant, but always nostalgic trip tracing her struggle as a renegade debutante trapped in a world of cotillions and cultural expectations.

Actress/Writer Alex Bond has theatre in her blood. She is the niece of the late Obie award winning actress Sudie Bond. Her Mom was her first director. She has enjoyed working in all areas of the business both on and back stage while touring the United States and Canada in repertory. Alex has also delighted audiences with her stand-up comedy in New York City. National and international commercials have helped with the mortgage payments, and for two years she was a club songstress in Dallas, Texas.
